I came in contact with Zanders during a lecture on corporate finance when completing my Master in Finance. The topics covered in the lecture looked very appealing to me and after a pleasant discussion on company culture and daily tasks within Zanders, I decided to apply, which was a great decision.
Treasury projects
At our Belgian office I am part of our corporate team, where we advise multinational organizations on a wide range of treasury topics. For instance, I was recently involved in the spin-off of a Fortune 500 company where we defined and implemented a new global liquidity structure. A truly global project, impacting functions outside of Treasury – very interesting for me to work on.
Changing and challenging
The Treasury landscape is, partly due to changes in Tax and Accounting regulation, constantly evolving which makes it a very dynamic field. In combination with an open company culture where there is plenty of room to grow and develop yourself, I believe Zanders is a very interesting organization to work for.
At Zanders you gain exposure to different organizations, persons, processes, and systems, so you have a very steep learning curve as a young-graduate. This can be challenging but it is very rewarding. Additionally, there is an amazing work atmosphere, which prizes those who take the initiative. You are often individually challenged to develop a solution, but can always rely on the support of your colleagues.
