The Zanders Solutions division provides specialised cloud solutions within our Treasury and Financial Risk Management and advisory knowledge domains with the aim of providing operational and compliance relief to our clients. The Solutions team, responsible for our cloud services currently consists of 18 FTE. The team has a varied background ranging from software development and DevOps to content experts and marketing and sales professionals. Organized as a typical start-up, our colleagues work together informally from the Netherlands, France, Turkey and Germany. As Scrum Master, you are responsible for the coordination and continuous optimization of our software development processes. We have two Scrum teams, working on various projects and a number of product managers that provide business requirements for the product roadmaps. This multifaceted role demands a blend of effective communication, priority setting a continuous focus on improving our processes and alignment with broader organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Alignment with Product Managers: Collaborate closely with product managers to understand the overarching vision and goals for the software applications. Translate these into actionable tasks, features, bugs, and epics that guide the development process.
  • Prioritization: Employ a keen sense of prioritization to ensure that the teams are focusing their efforts on the most valuable features and tasks. Balance short-term needs with long-term goals and customer requirements.
  • Team Coordination: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within and across the Scrum teams. Encourage transparency, open dialogue, and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maximizing Output: Actively seek opportunities to maximize the productivity and efficiency of the Scrum teams. Remove impediments, streamline processes, and foster an environment that empowers team members to excel.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with product owners, developers, testers, and other relevant parties, to ensure alignment and clarity on project objectives and priorities.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project delivery or quality. Anticipate challenges and proactively address them to keep the teams on track.
  • Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of learning and experimentation within the teams. Foster an environment where feedback is valued, and processes are regularly reviewed and refined for optimal results.

Skills to be successful:

  • Prior experience (3 to max. 7 years) as a certified Scrum Master in a Software development environment.
  • Experience with Agile Project Management and related tools
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders effectively. Maintain clarity and focus amidst complexity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to lead and motivate cross-functional teams. Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Strike a balance between having a strong opinion and being flexible enough to adapt to changing circumstances. Pragmatic decision-making is essential in navigating dynamic project requirements.
  • Solid understanding of software development processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Fluent level of English
  • Currently residing in The Netherlands with the legal right to work.
  • Willingness to be on site in our Amsterdam or Utrecht office a few days per week.
