Are you looking for a role where you can apply your extensive experience with banking risk management to make a change for the better? And do you combine an interest to develop the relatively new area of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) risk management with an eagerness to approach the market with this? Then join Zanders as our Director ESG Risk Management.
Background
ESG risk management within the financial sector is rapidly developing in response to overwhelming Crescientific evidence that our climate is changing and changing expectations from consumers and society as a whole. Against this backdrop, regulators are increasing their expectations as well. The financial sector is building up expertise and market practices are evolving. Our clients’ challenges are plentiful: amidst limited data availability, increasing regulation, new sources of risk, and pressure from society, they have to develop and integrate ESG risk management into their existing risk frameworks. Nevertheless, Zanders believes that financial institutions are uniquely positioned to drive the transition to a sustainable economy and we are motivated to support them with that process.
As Director ESG Risk Management you will join our Financial Institutions’ leadership team that heads an international group of 75 consultants specialized in quantitative risk management. It will be your responsibility to further develop and grow our ESG risk management business for our client base in North-West Europe. This will require you to actively engage with (current and prospective) clients to understand their needs and challenges, and to drive the development of our expertise with respect to the measurement, modelling, management, and disclosure of ESG risks. You will also be responsible for keeping track of the evolving regulatory requirements in this area.
You will be supported by a team of consultants that are self-starters, eager to push their boundaries and constantly challenging themselves. They are passionate about providing innovative and pragmatic solutions that have added value for the client. Freedom, responsibility, innovation, fun, teamwork and flexibility play an important role in this team.
As a successful Director ESG Risk Management, you will be responsible for:
